"A daydream is a visionary fantasy experienced while awake, especially one of happy, pleasant thoughts, hopes or ambitions. There are so many different types of daydreaming that there is still no consensus definition amongst psychologists". I was thinking lately what makes a person extremely enjoying a daydream about certain thoughts. Definitely there is an underlying cause for spending some time daydreaming about pleasant thoughts during the day.
Then I thought a person might not have a stable or pleasant life that makes him fly out of the real life and land in the dreamland where he/she can find more enjoyment. Some people listen to music and start daydreaming for a long time that can change their mood from sadness to happiness. The acronym TUIT (Task-Unrelated Images and Thoughts) is used by some psychologists to describe the episodes of a daydream. A daydreamer forms some thoughts they never experienced before or they wish to experience. Other daydreamers wish to escape from the reality to overcome a depressing or confusing situation.
"Daydreams become the impetus for problem-solving, creativity, or accomplishment". Some adults turn a daydream to a reality in the future with their strong determination and desire. According to children who have positive mental images continue to put them in action in the future. However, children who have negative mental images are anxious and tend to get out of the scenario of what they are imagining.
So what you think is what you get, so try to be always positive and create postive mental images that can be put into action in later stages.
Have a nice day
